ProDoc Firm eFiling Manager

If your firm contains more than one filer, you probably want to be able to manage all filers, all firm filings, and all firm eService from one place. So, we designed ProDoc eFiling to enable you to do exactly that... and more.

That is why, in our system, most filers choose to set up a firm account and then register all firm members with the state eFiling system through the firm account. This enable us to "flag" each firm member's activity in the state eFiling system and give you the ability to manage that activity.

The Firm Filing Manager area can only be accessed by firm members who are designated as Firm Manager. By default, our system automatically assigns the first person to register with the state eFiling system through the firm account as a Firm Manager. The Firm Manager can then designate other registered firm staff as Firm Managers.

You will also find most of the information below in our extremely comprehensive Firm Manager Training Guide.

"First of all, my legal assistant and law clerks have better things to do than to go on needless trips to courthouses.

OK, some trips are still needed but eFiling has reduced the number considerably. If they don’t have anything better to do… I need to re-staff.

I could certainly run by the courthouses early in the morning or on the way home in the evening – but the Clerk’s offices don’t keep my hours. And, since I’m not one to “hang out” in the courthouse, I prefer to go there only when necessary.

So, eFiling is primarily an economic decision, but there are other benefits that are icing on the cake:

1. It sure is easy and convenient. There are no copies to make, checks to write, envelopes to stuff – none of that is necessary with eFiling.
2. It cleans up the clutter. Loose ends bug me. It’s often easier for me to eFile documents right then, rather than sitting around waiting for the next trip to the courthouse. I eFile the document, fax & mail it to the other lawyer, tickle for a follow up, and put the file back in the filing cabinet."
